Unbridled Enthusiasm

I finished my first week interning for Cimarron Group this week, and it was pretty awesome. They are a design firm for entertainment marketing in Hollywood. This picture is the view from the window next to my desk. I mainly assist the designers with their tedious work, like manipulating hundreds of photos. But it’s fine because I am learning a lot. I feel like a kid playing “grown up”. Using words like client, deadline, coffee break, and boss. The work environment is really fun and the people are very nice and helpful. My first day I walked in and someone offered me bacon that they were making on a George Foreman grill. Then a few people took me out for sushi at lunch. Yesterday we all had a glass of wine to celebrate Friday, and I’ve also heard there is a bar downstairs. All-in-all I think this internship will be a great experience, even if it doesn’t turn into a full time job.
